The orange body proved to be way to bad. After sand-blasting the people at the body shop advised me to get another car with a better body… So I did. After a long search I finally found one. It’s very hard to find a good body for a 1303 in the Netherlands. This car is a a ’72 automatic 1303 from Germany with an original golde sunroof! The body was in a great shape, in Germany they don’t use as much salt on the roads as in the Netherlands, so the state of t he german cars are a little bit better.
After pushing it in the garage I started to quickly take it apart. I found out that almost no welding was ever done to this car.
The second try, off to the body shop…
